A wine is only bottled under the Waterkloof label when one of the vineyard blocks offers up something extraordinary. This fourth release from a great vintage for reds is a wonderfully complex Bordeaux style blend, predominantly Cabernet Franc with Merlot and Petit Verdot.

Sublimely complex aromas of plum and red cherry with cedary spice and a hint of pencil shavings. Cabernet Franc give a wine of subtlety and elegance with pretty berry fruit amd a supple, finely structured palate. Firm yet fine tannins and a spicy finish. It’s been scooping medals and awards galore since its release and will only get better in the bottle. Decant 2 hours before serving with a rib of beef.
