Valpolicella Ripasso is a good value alternative to Amarone, made from partially dried Corvina, Corvinone & Rondinella grapes, to give the wine more concentration and richness.
Pretty red berry fruits and sweet spice, the palate evolves into a melody of ripe red cherry, marzipan and soft, subtle tannins. Uncork with a grazing board featuring lots of cured meats!
