The Red Wines of Ridge Tasting

Philip Amps will show six stunning red wines from the famous Ridge Estate in California, including the hugely sought-after allocation only wine, Monte Bello.

This will be a small group tasting of just 14 people in the upstairs tasting room at our Market Place store.

Feel free to bring your own nibbles along to enjoy alongside the wines.

Ridge is a truly iconic winery located at the very peak of the Santa Cruz mountains in California. An estate comprising 39 hectares of vines planted back in 1892 by an Italian family, who believed that great wines came from mountainous locations. An acre of land here now would set you back over $1 million – that’s around twice as much as an acre would cost in the renowned Napa Valley! All of the wines have been made from estate grown, organic fruit since 1962. The wines have received so much recognition that they are now firmly world icon wines, so don’t miss this chance to taste them.

The evening will begin promptly at 7pm.
