We’re making the most of summer here at Amps, so join us every Saturday at our Market Place store for Sip&Shop, where we’ll have a range of wines to purchase by the glass and enjoy outside in the peaceful courtyard area. All of the wines are available to sample first.

– Southern Right Sauvignon Blanc 2023, South Africa
Utterly delicious and refreshing with tangy lemon and lime flavours.
– Chateau Saint Pierre Cotes de Provence Marie Rosé 2023, France
A classic rosé from Provence… pale, plush and posh!
– Cantine Paolini Nerello Mascalese 2022, Sicily
Light and juicy cherry and raspberry flavours. Served cool.
Saturday 17th August
– Vila Nova Arinto 2023, Portugal
Team member Darren’s summer pick: “Portuguese sunshine in a glass!”
– Funkstille Gruner Veltliner 2023, Austria
A dry white with subtle exotic hints, ripe pear, melon and fresh citrus flavours with a refreshing, zippy finish.
– Ca Dei Maghi Valpolicella Classico 2023, Italy
A bit more weight than many examples of Valpolicella, a gorgeous raspberry and marzipan scent and a rich dark cherry fruit palate.

Fresh yet full of flavour from an unusual grape variety… just the kind of wine we look for an independents.

– La Reine de L’Arenite La Madone Fleurie 2022
Spot on Fleurie – pretty, floral and aromatic. It’s like a black forest gateau with morello cherry and dark chocolate notes.

A light, crisp and refreshing white from the sunny South of France, perfect alternative to Sauvignon Blanc.
– Boutinot Cotes du Rhone Les Cerisiers Rosé 2023, France
Similar to Provence rosé with its medley of summer fruit flavours and pretty pale colour. A big favourite!
– Santa Tresa Frappato 2022, Italy
A soft and juicy red berry filled red, that we’ll serve slightly cool in this warmth.
