When it comes to English wine there’s a lot to shout about, not least the stunning sparkling wines from Henners. Based just 4 miles from the sea in Herstmonceux, East Sussex, the 7 acre vineyard planted with traditional Champagne varieties of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier, was created in 2007 by ex-Formula One engineer, Lawrence Warr. All Henners wines are hand-crafted from start to finish with every attention to detail, to create award winning wines of depth, complexity and elegance.
You might also know that we make an English fizz in conjunction with Henners Vineyard: Native Grace. There are ten shareholders, all independent wine merchants, with an investment by Henners, who provide the winemaking expertise and the winery. So our first investment into our own wine and we are rather proud of what we have produced… give it a try at our English Drinks Festival!
