This is such a pretty wine, particularly for the summer season. It’s made mainly from Garganega grapes (80%) with some of those grapes left to air-dry (the ‘appassimento’ technique) to give richer, fruitier flavours. To retain freshness, the blend is made up with a small amount of Sauvignon Blanc (20%). Dried mango aromas leap out of the glass and there’s a lovely fruit salad mix of flavours, particularly tropical. The ripe fruit will match well with lightly spiced dishes, Thai or Chinese cuisine.
