Although this is not a grape that is native to Italy, it is widely drunk there. Not much is exported out of the country though. Strawberry, candied fruit and a hint of cacao on the nose. The flavours are similar to the nose, lots of vibrant youthful red berry fruit and supple tannin structure. Drink with white meat or grilled fish.
