The fruit for this Italian beauty is sourced mainly from the Rive (Piemontese for ‘very steep’) vineyard which is home to 50 year old vines grown at an altitude of 450m. It is a classic barrel-aged Barbera with vibrant aromas of black cherries and prunes with chocolate, toasty oak and a touch of mint. Intense, spicy and smooth with an abundance of rich black cherry and dark chocolate flavours. Drink with mature hard cheeses.
