Viognier

Pronounced “vee-on-ya”, Viognier is a notoriously tricky-to-grow grape with a rich, luxurious, and aromatic flavour. Its susceptibility to disease and small harvesting window means this wine carries a hefty price tag. Viognier can be tricky to pair, with its richness competing with the food’s flavours. However, it can work beautifully with flavourful proteins such as roast chicken or poached salmon.
